Graduation ceremony

Our Medical School has qualified 147 candidates in comprehensive exams, thus they have become doctoral candidates. After the oath at the solemn ceremony on 29 June it was announced that according to the decision of the School’s leadership, from this year on the students graduating with “summa cum laude” honours are going to receive a 14-carat Elisabeth ring decorated with the coat of arms of the Medical School for their outstanding academic achievement. The most prominent students have received this award along with their diploma.

In memory of Dr. Gyula Mestyán Paediatrics Professor, our School advertised the Mestyán Gyula prize again this year for which the graduates with outstanding TDK work could apply. Based on the decision of the Undergraduate Research Committee, this year Bálint Soma Környei won the prize.

Dr. Balázs Szijártó received a certificate for many years of outstanding clinical demonstrator activity.

For the first time last year, for the sake of tradition, the special prize founded by the Student Union, the Pro Communitate Prize, was presented to a student who has built the community with unbroken enthusiasm and has done a lot in the field of educational development. Dr. Gergely József Csaba, a newly graduated doctor received the acknowledgment.

Based on the decision of the Pro Scientia Gold Medal Awarding Committee, three applicants from our School received the Pro Scientia Gold Medal award: Barbara Fülöp, Bálint Soma Környei and Balázs Ujvári.

Dr. Réka Faludi, associate professor at the Heart Institute, received a Master Teacher Gold Medal for her achievements in the field of specialty scientific talent management.
